Goals from yesterday
« on: January 22, 2017, 12:19:06 PM »

First goal - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsYHuvpYlxw

Tim Deasey needs a right bollocking for this. Concentration on trying to move the centre forward (who is holding his position and well within his rights too) instead of focusing on getting to the ball first.

Second goal - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgC6RsmVGbw&feature=youtu.be

Look at Sam Patterson's defending for the second, sucked in, arrives too late to make a tackle and then pulled out of position. Exactly the same mistake as he made for the second goal against Gainsborough last weekend. Somebody needs to get a grip of him or get rid because he is a liability.

Id be adopting George Grahams approach to defending at training this week. Get that back four moving back and forwards as a unit attached with a long piece of string.

I think probably Richman needs to take responsibility for getting to grips with the striker rather than letting him impede Deasy instead of ball watching. Or if he is going to watch the ball then make sure he heads it away?

It's pretty inept either way.

For the second Patterson has tried to get tight tonhim and he's got away with him. Can't track the rest of the movement enough to comment further

Poor by Richman. But should Richman being marking a player on the keeper?

Not sure what we do in training, but not ONE player who was 'marking' was goal side at that corner! More worryingly is that no one speaks to another, points and questions anything or shows any passion.  Yeah, deasy chases the ref, but why isn't he, and/or a cb giving it to our team for that distinctly sh*t defending, and driving the team at a critical time. If we can't talk now and do it next season, and defend like this, I fear for the season already

I think so, we'd go spare if he literally peeled away to the edge of the 6 yard box and headed it in unmarked
