Doughty posting about how proud he is sums it all up for me.

Absolutely. What a tragic couple of statements. No doubt we will hear of his incredible 'winning mentality' after he secures the job on a permanent basis.

He even retweeted this article: https://jactal.wordpress.com/2017/03/01/why-altrincham-must-stick-with-manager-matt-doughty/

I'm sure the person who wrote this was trying his best but this is one of the most lamentable things I have ever read.

Matt Doughty is a serial loser and to try and lionise him for that is wretched.

Well, it's an interesting one. I really enjoyed today for the first time in a long time. I felt their was heart, and passion in the team. I've accepted we're down, and I follow this team to watch a good game of football. I left the game today frustrated, but not angry. 60 standing away fans clapped the players off the pitch today and it was a nice atmosphere

At some of next season's extravaganzas we'll see 60 standing HOME fans.

I saw the game today (mostly due to the fact that I cant make the next few).  To be honest we looked the match to a very poor telford team and with a striker would have won 2 or 3-1.  The team gelled much better that I have seen for a while and mostly its for me down to the presence of richman.  The real issue is we are playing with 3 wingers up front including the enigma that is lawrie.
All reasonable footballers but no focus in the last third.  I would suggest that the defence and midfield is now reasonable, up front we are woeful.  I dodnt get the impression from the 30min appearance that Owen is the answer either.  I think the way we play we need a tricky fast forward not a man mountain.
Telford are no better from the teams in the league below, if we dont improve up front, midtable in the glue league at best.  Encouraging at the back though.  Thought the new keeper was ok with the exception of a bizarre punch out from a cross.

Looked save-able from the goal-cam angle. But hit a rut and went over the hand of the goalie. Similar to Rojo's goal yesterday, off target shot, stabbed by the Telford player. If only we had a couple of 20+ goal scorers as we used to have we probably would get put of this mess.

True, we have one, but he has not delivered this season. More's the pity. So we need 2 for now/next season if possible.

I've been really harsh on Reeves in some recent posts - unfair given I've hardly seen him play this season.

A great player in his day with Alty and I hope he finds from and a settle d side to play in again next season somewhere.

Looks like owens has come in for Reeves. No news of an injury

According to John Laidlar in his match report of yesterday's defeat at Telford:

"Reeves was not present owing to a family commitment."
