Major surprise for me was the amount of grass on the pitch, but still an incredibly bobbly surface. The recent change of status from a Ltd Company to a genuine Community Club (BPA are now a mutual society so have no big £ backer) is a fresh set of signs on the portakabins from which they've masterminded their now 20 point lead over us.

The game was pretty poor enlivened only by a few Newby runs in the first half, a few Clee touches in the second, with BPA always having a bit more about them from their ex Guiseley players. The sending off effectively ended us as an attacking threat, although for me removing Reeves a few minutes after Clee was introduced and then seeing his replacement miscue in front of goal from the latter's cross won't go down as one of the great tactical switches in our history.

The good news was IKEA wasn't too busy on the way home.

Any chance of winning the game went with Newby's red. No doubt thier player was ripping the shirt off his back, but it was an elbow.

Dont normally moan about the ref because they're generally poor for both teams but this guy gave them everything.

Johnson and Sinclair caused us all sorts of problems.

Bit bemused why Clee didn't start.

Not a big fan of the way our management duo scream negatively across the pitch.

Nice to stand in the sun

516 there, maybe forty to fifty Alty? Virtually no vocal support for us.

I thought the 516 wasn't too far out, with, as York Alty etc. says, 40 or 50 away.

Very unfortunate for Newby to finish what has been a very decent loan spell in a poor team in this manner. I didn't have a good view myself, but nobody seemed to have seen anything wrong, although the referee did indicate an elbow. It wasn't a good game, at all, with a poor atmosphere in a ground I can't take to, although BPA always seem a friendly club.

I assume some of the surprises in the team selection were just to give players who haven't  played much recently a game, but who knows?

My own highlight was to see some photos in the pub I visited in the city centre of a gentleman named Karam  Chand who died last year at the age of 110! After googling him, this is genuine and he holds a record of having been married for 90 years. Probably best to draw a veil over the fact that his widow was 103 when he died...

Think we were looking for a new low so that take us down a further peg. Sounds like we gave it a go but they deserved to win even before the red card.

Not sure the words great shift and pride should be used though, it's another defeat to another poor side "around us"

Salford are struggling a bit at the moment and need a lift.  Don't worry lads,  we're coming!

Sad sad times....

Embarrassing, reflects badly on the whole club language like that. He should be ashamed of himself with all our younger fans and all the community work the Chairman does

The club sinks lower and lower by the day

You have to be on twitter to read it which i'm not. If anyone wouldn't mind sending me PM with what was said it would be greatly appreciated.

Edit.. I've just been text the 'offensive tweet' and in my personal opinion it's not too bad and shows a bit of passion although I'm not convinced it was a 'great shift'
