The story was covered on Non League Daily today too:

Let's hope this gets shared as far and wide as possible!

Is it just me that thinks it's strange that this is headline news on thenonleaguedaily and fc business, but not on our own website?

This club is an absolute shambles at times. That's laughable.

Its not really news now to the fans on the website - this was covered at the time - its "old" news.

But the club should be advertising the fact that 51% of it is up for sale, and spreading the word on our website from as many different publications as showcase it. FCbusiness is one of the biggest publications in football, and just the type of target that should be hit. This should be shouted from the rooftops, not ignored.

The fact that on our own website we get news about the tealady at tinpot fc retiring after 30 years and not the biggest development at our club for the last 20+ years just shows how the clubs priorities are all wrong. It has nothing to do with "old news".

It does however (by virtue of us both playing a friendly v kidsgrove this week) cover Burton Albion's preparations for their second season in the Championship.

I'll just leave that there.

But it's in FCbusiness. That's why this thread exists.

Total farce - clearly the club not truely interested in selling

Again we the supporters have had our pants down

Yes, fair point.

Previous official website updates would suggest that if any other club (either at our level or other non-league club with local interest) had been featured in Non-League Daily in the same story yesterday, then it would have been reported on the official Altrincham FC site. So it does seem strange that such positive coverage was willfully ignored when it was actually about Alty.

I’m not sure that most Alty fans, or outside readers for that matter, would consider ex-Alty youth player Boris Melingui scoring in a pre-season for Nantwich Town to be more news-worthy. But I could be wrong.

I've said it for a while. It's not the altrincham fc website. It's John Laidlar's blog.

The website's main news section should focus only on current Altrincham Football matters and events (ladies and reserves inclusive).

If the content from John's research was formed in to a susinct blog once a week. It would be a much better reviewx

Bit of a storm in a teacup this.

There is a more crucial matter here which is that the clubs website is akin to an early internet fanzine site. Most clubs in our league have better websites and whilst its not necessarily make or break to the playing side any potential investor would most likely go straight to our official site to research the club and think we're a lost cause.

Here's my local clubs website: http://www.thamefootball.co.uk/

They are in the step below us, but rising fast as a community club. We're light years away from that.
