Without starting a debate, Reeves and Clee leaving will have freed up a good chunk of budget.

The management team have put together a squad which isn't full of oldies. I reckon he intends them to grow together and improve as a squad together thus becoming a decent team in the Conf North.
I see this setup as a longer term project which hopefully the current set of players will be party to greater things.

Hopefully starting with a season of us enjoying watching the team do very well this coming season and then kicking on from there with a few tweaks here and there on the way.

Exciting times ahead folks, lets enjoy the ride and put the f**king shambles of the last two seasons behind us once and for all..

We do seem to have finally got ourselves a decent couple of guys and staff to start the rebuilding process..

C'mon on Alty

The management team know that, if they get it right now, they'll have an extremely quiet summer on their hands next time.

Here's hoping - I really hope some of lads can forge long-term reputations as fan's favourites here (or even be good enough to move on to bigger things).

Really nice set up at Kidsgrove...lovely tidy ground.....

Very encouraged with Dens....Ben Harrison looked a classy defender reminiscent of paul france.....you could clearly see the way the management were pushing the team to play....great that Lawrence got a full game and I really don't know who'd be the regular duo from him Sheridan and moult....

Lots of forward options as well all looked good......FOR THE LEVEL WE WILL BE PLAYING AT AND THE OPPOSITION IN FRONT OF US.

We would need to strengthen considerably if we went up although I thought with the organisation we showed yesterday we'd have stayed up last year.....

The keepers distribution was also excellent.

Should Moult revert to CB?

Should Moult revert to CB?

I'd rather he stayed a CM if we have Harrison and also Hannigan coming back (with Lynch and Heathcote available to play there too).

What's the latest with the lad from TNS?  Has he signed?

If Lynch and Heathcote can play it must be a very moderate standard

I suspect they'll be adequate backups at this level.

Lynch is a steady Conf North player to be fair Jim so will be ok at this level,Heathcote on the other hand...

If that's the case with Lynch he must be a lot better than when he was first here

Its pretty simple really...every player is going to look better this season because PP has got a lot more shape and movement from the players......

So when Jake has the ball, Ben Harrison has taken a bit of space forward and taken one defending attacker out, and the other midfielders are all moving into good positions, we have width and two strikers ahead so he doesn't just knock it 5 yards to lawrie who loses it....so the ball is not in our own net five seconds later......

It really is very apparent and jake and Sheridan were knocking lovely 20 yarders to someone in space....

That's fair comment. I wasn't impressed at first to see when we had re-signed him, but he was one of the most solid and consistent players at the end of last season
