For a first foray into open age football with the majority playing at that level for the first time after only two training sessions and with a number of new players added to the squad who had never played together it was an excellent performance against a much more experienced group including a number of players who had been members of the FCUM first team squad last season

Was very pleasing to see Goalkeeper Lucy O'Dwyer make her return after over a year out with an ACL injur.

Cheshire Women's and Youth League Division 2

AFC Stockport
Altrincham Development
Chester City
Earlestown Athletic
Macc Town
Sale Utd
Stockport County HNR

As far as I know the teams will play each other 3 times in the League, with the Champions promoted to Division 1 and the bottom side being relegated to Division 3.

The Ladies Development are away at Burnley Development this afternoon for a pre-season friendly. Burnley Development play their football in the Lancashire Women's Championship league, where they finished 3rd last season.

Ventured down yesterday to Mersey valley to watch the development team, good to see them overcome an early setback and secure a 3-1 victory. On wards and upwards.

As has been said earlier the Development Team (who were incidentally the better side from start to finish IMHO) came back very well from an early setback to  "boss the game" and win probably more convincingly than the scoreline suggests.

Two goals by Sabrina showing differing attributes to her game and an excellent header by Courtney did the trick.

I have watched the majority of the players over the past two seasons and, if you find yourself with some spare time on a Sunday afternoon when they are at home I wouldn't hesitate to recommend doing so
