Well done tonight lads, great response after the debacle at Shildon.

Against the dirtiest team I have seen in an age you played them off the park, 80 minutes before they got a shot on target. Pity more did not witness it, I hope a few more supporters start coming back. On that performance the team deserve it.

Up the Alty

Best performance I have seen from Alty in years. Everyone played well. Both centre backs were immense they didn't give Walshaw a chance. Hopefully we can take that confidence into Saturday. Well done lads!

I lost count at one stage. Good result tonight. We look really useful going forward. A couple of goals involved lucky ricochets but you've got to make your own luck.
It could have been a lot more.
Bring on Saturday.

listening to RR this season it's sounded like we had a score like this in us if we got a bit of luck - or even just stopped with the bad luck and mid-game injuries etc.  Great that it finally clicked against a team near the top.  Really good confidence boost and with Poole to come back as well....and Miller.....looking good

That was a very good performance. JJ was immense. High tempo and closing down high up the pitch. Really enjoyed that.

Reminds me of the Sinnott era all over again this.

Well done lads. Three more points on Saturday please!

A direct flashback to the Sinnott, I think. We were knocked out of the Cup by Witton and went on to beat Boston 7-1 the following Tuesday?

From dogsh*t to the dog's bollocks in three days. Whatever PP said to them after Saturday's debacle, it must rank alongside "We shall fight them on the beaches" !

Brilliant display from the whole team. More of the same on Saturday please ! Proud to be Alty tonight.

Farsley at 2/1 is great odds!
I hope you weren't tempted!

Superb performance all round. Well done to PP for putting Hanigann at cb. Walshaw got nothing out of both cb's.

Immense performances everywhere, but Johnson was my mom.

They were sh*te. Literally about 15 teams could win this league.

Played well, JJ was superb , but test will be how we cope when every ricochet and loose ball doesn't fall to us and the opposition are better than 'inept' as JL rightly said. Everybody wanted the ball in the last 20 mins and the movement was excellent, but will these same players be wanting the ball and to express themselves when things are tough? Time will tell.

Excellent performance all over the pitch with pace and skill, their midfield didnt have a clue how to deal with us that was the key plus tremendous graft from every one of them.
Makes you wonder how we didnt produce 10mins of that magic on saturday but its a work in progress and on the evidence of tonight, this team could become very successful even at a higher level.
I think other teams wont give us that much space again though to play.

Onwards and upwards  ;D

Well done to all the players and management tonight, they all put in a great effort and fully deserved the result from that.

Pity it took a miserable FA cup exit to get the response, but keep going with that kind of graft and we'll do well.
