Getting to Warrington - advice please
« on: October 18, 2017, 09:52:41 PM »

Hi all,
I'm travelling to Warrington Saturday with a few mates. I think I'm right in saying the ground is no where near the train station? I don't want to drive so what's my best option? Train then taxi from the station? Thanks.

Quite a few of us meeting in Alty then off for drinks pre game . A taxi to warrington is about 26 quid so if you share its pretty cheap

Even cheaper in a mini bus

At the very worst you can get a blackcab from alty rank and it can fit 5 (some do fit 6) people and will cost ruffly 24 pound split between 5 =4.80 per person

Any Pub recommendations in Warrington? Either Town centre or out towards the ground?

It'd be good to get as many Alty in the same pub as possible. If I can get the name of an establishment I'll put it in here.

Just go Stockton Heath for drinking. there’s four pubs on the cross roads in the village and it’s a mile from the ground. 35 bus from Alty stops at Stockton Heath

Their are a few of us meeting at the Mulbery Tree in Stockton Heath around 12 o'clock.    Probably also head to the Saracens head which is near the ground.
