2-1 Alty...
Att. 693

It will be good to see Greg Young back at Moss Lane..

Am I right in saying Young won't be involved?  He was sent off last week.

Ok your probably correct..

Actually he was sent off on Tuesday against Rushall, so, as suspensions take seven days, to kick in, I believe he can still play against us. Not sure if that is good or bad...

Credit to Buxton today, probably disappointed they did not get all three points today.

Some heroic keeping from TT today kept us in the game.We certainly missed Jake and Simon

In Midfield, was nice to see Greg Young back, thought he had a pretty decent game.

All in all though 2 points dropped today.

I'd agree with most of that, but felt like it was a point gained at the end of the game. Although Jordan Hulme should have scored, Tony Thompson, had to work very hard and definitely deserved the man of the match award. Buxton, with a lot of experienced players, were much better than I was expecting.

The unbeaten run goes on and we remain top...

Decent game and a draw was a fair result.

Most of our players played to par.

Conner Hampson was superb at lb. He'd keep a fit Short out.

Max Harrop pulled all the strings first half but wasn't in the game second.

The problem was Hulme who had the worse 90 minutes since Stafford.

Buxton did themselves great credit today. At no point did they decide to merely settle for a point and it would have been very hard on them had they lost.
For us, TT was outstanding. Let's be honest, his confidence has grown with every match. I also thought Harrop and Bembo-Lita had good games. Does anybody know when Short and Hannigan are back? We miss them.

We were probably due a home draw & it’s clear looking at Buxtons 2 prior home defeats that teams are raising their games against us now.

Good thing now is a 2 week break until the next league game by which point both Moult & Richman should be back plus hopefully a few more of our injured players. Will be cheering on Halesowen next Saturday with their home tie vs SLA anyway.

We worked hard today, but Buxton were the better team for long parts of the game.
We really missed Moult & Richman, and every time Buxton went forward they looked dangerous, those two have protected our back four this season, our defence has been just as successful as our attack this season. It’s a good job we are not playing Shaw Lane on Monday.
Agree with the comments about Hulme, he has looked sharp recently, but today nothing worked for him, in contrast the Buxton no. 9 had a good game and was a real threat.
I thought Densmore was unlucky not to get a game, he did more running warming up, than a few players did on the pitch.

A hard won point today.

I thought Dens should have come on for Taylor at ht.

If Moult or Richman played they wouldn't have scored that early goal.

Well played TT my MOTM

Still unbeaten which is a positive..

I want to see JJ on the left more.

How Hulme hasn't put his lace through that ball when he's gone past the keeper I'll never know.

Would have liked to have seen Peers earlier - and probably for Hulme up top as it wasn't working for him.

We missed Moult and Richman badly.

The new left back had a funny first half as he got settled in but played well in the second.

I agree with Marple Alty above. I made these comments during the game.

Hopefully PP is learning and won't make some of those mistakes again.

We got no more than I expected, or deserved, when I saw today’s starting 11 as that was the weakest team we’ve fielded this season with Harrop and Taylor in the heart of midfield.

You don’t appreciate how good Richman & Moult are until they’re not there and replaced by these 2.

Taylor still can’t wait go get rid of it, usually sideways or backwards, the minute he gets it and Harrop - the less said the better - he’s a 3rd choice winger, where he can’t cause much damage, but should be nowhere near the middle of the park as he’s a liability. How Densmore wasn’t picked before him is beyond me - unless he was injured.

1 point gained, as opposed to 2 points lost. We’ve had worse days at the office.

I'd have thought that our failure to take maximum points yesterday had a good deal more to do with Jordan Hulme missing an open goal and JJ opting to shoot rather than lay it off to a better positioned team mate.

Agree with most of this with the exception of the Harrop assessment.
