Just noticed they've crept into the NLN playoff places - they've got a good mix of ex-Alty (Havern, Boshell, Clee) and ex-Guiseley (Drench, Boyes) in their ranks.

I know quite a few on here would have liked Bower & Boshell here once upon a time - they're definitely specialists at that level.

Isn't their ground one-sided? Would they be eligible for promotion?

They must've took a while to gel because we murdered them in pre season and I fancied them to struggle.

It's got four sides but would need some work if they achieved promotion.

From memory it's an athletics track, would need a lot more work if the club were to progress but they must have some ideas as they've spoken about league football / full time stuff in the past, yawn...

I'm hoping the fact we beat them pre-season is a good marker of where our team would sit in the league above.

I'm not sure what happened preseason is any indication of anything. Against Stafford we were firmly put in our place but I'm sure if we had to play them now we'd make a much better job of it.

Perhaps BPA and ourselves have got our act together.

Bower and Boshell are an experienced manager / coach duo and know what it takes to get results - their record shows that. I'd be interested to know what they think of the (presumably) increased resources Paul Cox is getting at Guiseley for them to go full time, as they were unceremoniously binned off there.

Pre-season means nothing. A better marker will be how we perform at Alfreton a week Saturday
