Saturday segregation
« on: December 03, 2017, 10:13:03 AM »

Potentially a plus 1000 gate on Saturday. Neither Manchester side playing, with fans of both sides looking for any excuse not to go to the markets.

Shaw Lane will bring low numbers but please let's not surrender any advantage we have left by letting 50 pisd heads from Barsnley bounce around the Golf Road.

Get it segregated. Get the songs going. Get 300 extra people singing.

As much as Royton Mike wants to meet Shirley and Don from Barnsley, I'm sure he'd rather us win and be top.

If there was a like button on here....everything has to be spot on next Saturday on and off the pitch starting with this.

Bang on hashtag.

This game is the biggest of season so far. After they put Warrington to sword yesterday they will right up for it. They are now favourites with Skybet to win the league.

The away turnstiles are rarely open these days so i’d have thought there’s little chance of the game being segregated.

Of course it should be segregated, they’re offering free coach travel. It’ll fall on deaf ears though, the priority will be on making sure they have a nice day and selling them a mince pie....

They're offering free travel via what I'm presuming are the spare seats on their team coach: https://twitter.com/SLAquaFC/status/937321756355973120

Home advantage extends well beyond not allowing 30 old blokes from Yorkshire onto the Golf Road End. For me the main benefit is ensuring the home fans do not spread out onto the open terrace. That's the key atmosphere dampener. Packing everyone in to the final third of the popular side always makes for a much, much better atmosphere.

Completely in our hands to get this right here.

I find it hard to believe they will only bring a handful of supporters. They're going well and got into the first round of the FA Cup.

One advantage we do have playing at home is the quality of the playing surface. The pitch was decidedly bobbly at Mickleover.

Shaw Lane only got 200 at home on Saturday for their biggest league game so far this season, and the official supporters transport for their trip to us is the unused seats on the team coach.
I’d be surprised if we needed stewards at the game on Saturday, nevermind segregation.

And Shirley & Don said they were pickling their rhubarb on Saturday so they can’t make it.
