Ballers is quite correct. Segregation should be imposed when it's required for safety reasons,  but it really, really isn't going to be required on Saturday. If and when we get promoted, it can be applied for appropriate matches, but, in the meantime, let's not upset and antagonise those home supporters who do come, by not allowing them to stand where they want.
Putting it in context, I think that of the 72 clubs at our level only Hereford segregate as a matter of course, and that is because of their large crowds - much larger than ours - in a limited stadium.

I like watching football end on. I don't want segregation for that reason.

If you really want to push the home advantage why don't you do something radical and go and stand next to the away support and out sing them?

Does anyone know if we have any figures on the take up of this offer, when it has been run previously?

Would be interesting to know (SLOs to find out?).

It might be worth, on this occasion, opening the discount to United and City members, as well as season ticket holders.

There must be many more members over season ticket holders plus these are people who won't be at every home game for their respective Premier League clubs, so could return to Alty even when there are home games for United or City.

Whilst it's nice to get the odd season ticket holders through the gates, these are unlikely to bw regular attendees

Causing aggravation? Last time two sets of fans both sang in the home end fighting ensued.

"You have 100 or so fans on that open end who would have otherwise been stood with us making some noise."

I don't quite understand this bit. Surely these 100 or so fans have chosen to stand at that end. If they wanted to stand and make some noise with you, that would have been their location of choice?

An extra 10 people singing can make a huge difference. I doubt those who sang during Guisley et al were regulars, but get caught up in the momentum.
