Matlock game already in doubt?
« on: December 10, 2017, 10:30:06 AM »

Unofficial sources have confirmed the home game against Matlock, due to be played on 23rd December, may already be in doubt due to unexpected circumstances.

It has been said that a small molehill was found on the pitch yesterday at 10am but this, unnecessarily, quickly grew to mountain status within hours.

It has been confirmed that all possible will be done to remove the Moss Lane mountain in the next week or so to restore access to the pitch, to allow the Matlock game to be played.

I think it's always great to see pro-club people mock the fans who don't agree with the gospel they spout.

Always good to bring the divided fans together.

Not mocking anybody.

What I was trying to point out was, looking back at the thread, it all escalated to an unnecessary level over the postponement of one game.

Whilst the OP wasn't helpful, the vast majority of games at our level (apart from the absolute northernmost who ironically steered clear of the worst weather) didn't go ahead at the weekend. Most at NLN level didn't either - nor did 3rd-tier Bury or 4th-tier Accrington.

Let's move on now.
