Witton Match Thread
« on: December 31, 2017, 10:56:15 AM »

Hopefully the game will be on due to the current form we are in.

I would keep same starting 11 as Coalville, if all fit and not fatigued.

Home win please to start the New Year.

Bring on the Alty  :)

 3-1 to the Alty

 Attendance 1095

No reason why we should not achieve our first 1000+ Gate of the season.

Team performances are superb, top of the league and deserverly so,what's not

To like about whatching Alty at the moment.

Listening to the PP interview from yesterday sounds like there will be changes.

Dry at the moment a few heavy showers forcast during the game.

Covers have been on the pitch overnight,no pitch inspection due.

Evostik Twitter feed says all games on. That was about 15 minutes ago.

It’s strange we’ve used frost covers when it didn’t drop lower than 4 degrees last night.   ???

Really threw that one away...we were second best in the first half, but came back really well in the second half, and took the game to Witton.
For me the real disappointment, was at 3-2, there was a real chance to bring on fresh legs, the conditions were awful and it must have been draining the energy of a number of players, who have played a lot of football recently.
Bringing Miller on, or Peers much earlier would have helped and Hannigan at the back would have surely made a difference.
PP usually gets these decisions right, but I am not sure what he was thinking today.

At 3 2, bringing Hannigan on was obvious. I don't know why PP didn't. Shaw and Workington both got drubbed too. Looks like the weather conditions evened things up everywhere. Well done to Witton by the way - the winning goal was brilliant.
