Only just caught up with the Vase results, so belated congratulations to 1874, whose 1-0 home win over Chichester makes them the only North West club in the last 8.

They've been drawn away to the winner of Saturday's postponed tie between Wolverhampton Sporting and Leighton (Buzzard that is).

They've achieved a great deal in a relatively short time since walking away from the tainted Vics. Good luck guys (Tom Peers will doubtless be delighted).

They are fourth favourites to win the Vase at 11-1 (Marske United being the favourites) and have the little matter of 28 league games still to fit in, besides their cup competitions. They have already switched a couple of Vase games to Witton away from the poor pitch at Winsford, but I think that backlog will catch up with them.
They are having a great season, though, so well done to them.
