Shaw Lane AQUAFORCE- Match thread

Both teams should be well rested. Shaw lane AQUAFORCE will have a couple of suspensions of lads that should have sat out today. Also they are providing free coach travel for their supporters

Will the yoga class go ahead though...?

Meanwhile all eyes and ears are on Sutton Coldfield. It's just like The Golden Shot - one for the youngsters there.

Hopefully Jones and/or Hannigan will be available.

Hoping for a strong referee, who'll take no nonsense from the Shaw Lane bully boys.

Just to be clear it wasn't Yoga!

But it does generate income to pay the team.

I thought non-football related income was kept separate and didn't benefit the football club at all.

Aquaforce is an apt name considering the amount of rain we've had. Best tell them to bring there arm bands

I was told the CSH is a registered charity. If that is the case how does that generate income for the club?

Getting anybody through the door, even if only to use the CSH, will benefit the club whether directly or indirectly.

It will get the name of Altrincham football club and what they can offer out to more people. This in turn could get more people through the turnstiles, spending money on entrance, food, drink etc.

It wasn't ideal hosting the 'yoga' on a match night but if it was already a long-standing prebooking, I'm sure the pros and cons of cancelling it were thought about. It didn't impact negatively on the night from my persepctive and I used the CSH for a drink pre, during and post game. The only negative comments appear to be from those who are choosing to stay away from home games, so didn't actually see the impact it had.

Unlikely, but there's a chance the partners of those doing the class didn't even know there was a game on. They will do now and may keep an eye out for future fixtures, they may even have come along to the game whilst their partner took the class if they were made aware the game was on.

As a part-time, unbankrolled, club every penny counts towards a push back up the league pyramid.

Any chance we can discuss the up coming football match on the “match thread” folks?
