Do we assume that three quarters of a season in an even lower division has turned him into a massively improved player ?

I assume we're intending to play him up front.

Backwards step. Very average defender and if we have resigned him as a striker then there are plenty better at this level. Bizzare, as I wouldn't have thought he is a PP sort of player because he doesn't get stuck in. Respect his dad and Sam's passion for Alty but not a great signing. At the most he will survive this season. Maybe Tom's injury isn't going away????
I hope that he proves me wrong.

Not sure he’s been signed to go straight into the team if I’m honest. Think he’s left Rammy and looking for football. On the doorstep, fine squad player in a season that’s going to see us go Tues-Sat-Tues-Sat until the end.

Welcome back Sam.

What a joke! No where near good enough for us! He was at his level playing for ramsbottom! Hope he goes somewhere else soon!

Let's give the lad a chance! I suspect he's signed as a squad cover striker and we'll need extra numbers on a hectic run in. He scored a good goal against us at the beginning of the season. No-one looked good last season, no-one. Playing in a confident winning team can make all the difference to a lot of players. Welcome back Sam and good luck

I actually thought it was a joke. Part of me still does.
Give him a chance? I thought we had!

It's a surprise especially at this stage of the season. I can't imagine he has improved his game at Ramsbottom. Do we need cover? I really hope it isn't a favour for a friend.

To be honest I thought we'd got past the 'jobs for the boys' stuff when we dispensed with Doughty. But then I remembered Rowley's still in charge.

As leftfield as this signing is I really can't see it being anyones decision but the managements.

As a supporter of the current regime I will be very disapointed if that is not the case.

He was reasonable cover in the conference, he'll be reasonable cover in this league.
