Stalybridge - Match thread

Alty 2/5
Draw 10/3
Stalybridge 5/1

Can’t f**k about on Saturday, with Warrington hosting Grantham and shaw lane at witton who have designs on gate crashing the playoffs. Dust ourselves down and get it won

Three points could look huge at full-time with the fixtures highlighted above.

We usually follow below-par league performances with a response (of the previous four league defeats, we're W3 D1 next time out including a 6-0 victory over Farsley.)

No excuses with them playing Thursday night. Nice and windy between then and now, so hopefully the pitch can firm up good.

Will be a very tough local derby as I can see Stalybridge being keen to do us.
Let's get our best XI on the pitch please and get this bloody league sewn up.

100% Dens for White
Hannigan for Jones
I would give Moult a rest and have Richman alongside Harrop.

Never fancy us against 'Bridge tbh.

I'd have Densmore and Hannigan starting, Moult I'd leave in and toss up for Peers or Hancock.

Where was Walsh last night?

Alty 1-1 Stalybridge. Poole.

Hmmm. The away match didn't go as well as expected. I still expect a strong win and a decent crowd. Hopefully Staly will bring a few.

To repeat Dens need to come in. The results with him at RB speak alone.
The only reason I said to drop Moult for Richman is that he looked sluggish/tired on Tuesday. He was way off the pace and because they came at us on the floor rather than constant long balls up top meant he wasn't winning those important headers in front of the back four. The game passed him by.

I think we'll certainly see Hannigan in for Jones, and Id also start Densmore for White. Can't see PP dropping Moult.
Tuesday was a blip, but the good news was that the team responded positively to being 2 down at half time. We were a good save from JJ's shot in the second half at 2-2 away from winning that game. We'll be back to our best on Saturday.

Here we bloody go again. Weather forecast is for snow overnight, and snow showers throughout the day. BBC forecast suggests the heaviest snow in our area will be between 3 and 5pm.

Well, the snow has arrived up here! Hoping (a) that the game will be on & (b) that the weather doesn't disrupt public transport so I can get there. If we were playing at Bridge I'd be worried about prospects of play.
