Need to put them away on Tuesday.

Good discipline and don't let there niggling tactics get to us.

Hope we have a strong ref.

2-0 Alty

My first ever home mid week game after I finally managed to engineer a work trip to the North West on an appropriate date!

A strong ref will be vital. Away fans I have spoken to at both Warrington and Stafford have commented on Shaw's agricultural methods. They are on a down, but so were Workington. Hope Hannigan is fit.

I hope we put them away. They were our main opposition so I hope we have an emphatic victory.

They already lost one manager to some team in Lincolnshire. Is this the second one who has got the boot?

Their chairman's statement on the sacking interestingly includes the wording "we need a manager who can work with the existing squad".

You could read that two ways, either "the squad are a difficult bunch and will take a special approach" or " transfer deadline day has passed, so they're stuck with what they've got when they come in".

Is there a transfer deadline at this level?

Going back to the point about the referee, if you look at the Twitter feed for Shaw Lane for the mach on Saturday, they were complaining about the referee, and blamed him for the result. It looks like he dished a few cards out and they didn’t like it.

Fly out the traps like we did on Tuesday and it'll only end one way.
