Very scrappy game really, Number 6 was just fouling Hulme out of the game and we only looked threatening at corners really. Disappointing but we bounce back on Monday if its on(fingers crossed!)

What a waste of a day.

Terrible performance. Only Jones played OK.

Hopefully last time we see Heathcote in an Alty kit. Was always a backwards step re-signing him. Such a lack of awareness and effort in his play.

We struggle with teams who get in our faces.

Disappointing. Poor pitch, weak referee too fond of the sound of his own voice. They capitalised on it to the maximum and were in our faces all afternoon.

We gave the ball away like we were a food bank and we really didn't deserve anything.

Worse performance of the season. Aside from Jones and to a degree Hannigan utter wank from the starting 11. Thought TBJ did ok.

Yes the pitch was turd, but we have the ball away time and time again. No excuses they did a job on us.

Desperately need Hampson or White to be fit for Monday.

Agree with the above generally that everyone says. White was limping, so don't think he will be fit on Monday.

Desperately need a plan B when on these pitches and up against these types of teams. Years ago we had Kyle Perry for these situations. Something to have in the armory for next season.

Have to agree re Heathcote. What a strange and terrible signing!!

Bad pitch. Bad ref. Bad day at the office.
No panic here, Sh1t  happens
It's now history we go again next game.

If our fans hadn't gone the crowd would have been very poor.

A poor game on a poor pitch (understandable given the rain). Having seen a fair bit of us away in the Midlands this season that was one of our worst away displays of the season in my view. Rushall for our level were a very effective outfit and fair play to them, just hope they play like that against the rest of the league until the end of April.

We should be used to soft pitches by now, but Rushall clearly adapted better and deserved the win, if that can ever be possible for a team containing Richard Brodie.
James Jones played well, as has been mentioned, and it's good to see him get some praise.
We won't win every game, as today's game shows, but nor will Warrington and the rest, so I won't panic just yet.

Just couldnt get going and without fullbacks able to go past our wingers we were stiffled.  Lacked creative ideas, fair play Rushall, a good get in your face team.  As someone at the game said i honestly expected this all season to go to teams like this and struggle.  Not a suprise

Dont know why when faced with a sloping quagmire and a team in our faces we dont just go direct..bypass the midfield and get the ball to jj tom and jordan quickly then press their defence...
Instead of that we try and play pretty football on a swamp...
Lets go again monday still 6 pts clear

Utter garbage yesterday. But it shouldn’t affect the outcome of this season and, with the club already looking towards next season, yesterday might actually do the manager and players (those already contracted) some good in the long term as a wake up call to what will need to be added over the summer to be more competitive next year.
The way Rushall organised themselves and (impressively at times given the conditions) stretched the play across midfield, was much more indicative of what we will have to deal with away from home in the Conf North next season. As opposed to turning up at places like Halesowen where they are already bent over with their pants around their ankles as we step off the team coach. The way Rushall defended their lead high up the pitch (rather than the usual Evostik tactic of packing your own box for the last 15 mins and hope for the best), and managed the end of the game well near our corner flags, is something else that the players and management team will have to learn to adapt to next season.
I was saying on the way down that I was concerned for the Rushall game after Thursday night. There are only a few clubs in the world who could pull the ‘popular young manager signs new contract publicly in front of a handful of fans two days before league game’ stunt, and still expect to win. We definitely aren’t one of them.

Hopefully back on the saddle on Monday. It was a bad day at the office yesterday, but we don’t have many, and Marine and Shaw Lane should be exactly the right level of sh1te that we need to get it out of the system at the first opportunity.

Every pitch between now and the end of the season will like Rushalls  we need to get over it and get on with it
