Though a threat, we should remember that they are 7 points behind us and not only have to play both us and Warrington but also Whitby and Workington away. If we win the games we should be winning, we'll be okay.

I see Warringtons official Twitter account has taken a vow of silence and still not put out the result of today’s game. 2 points out of 9 for them, I seem to recall someone saying all those Tranmere players they are signing would be worlds best and push them over the line, not working out that way so far.

Looks like no one wants to win, except Grantham!

if can get the maximum points out the next 3 games I think we'll be ok

I would fully agree robininstockport , but I'd worry how likely it is for us or any part time side to take maximum points in three away games in 5 days. I'd very happily take 6 points all considered ....I.e form,to many games in that space off time and potentially poor pitches.

Looking back at the archive data on the Evo Stick site, previous champions have won between 92 points (FCUM) and 104 (Darlington).
Realistically, Warrington will loose one or two (they have to go to Grantham and Farsley) so we could win the league with 85 points.
Even more reason to get the job done this year.
Hopefully this is going to be a really exciting few weeks.

It’s one thing chasing but it’s another thing when it becomes real as Warrington have found out, pressure does funny things

We have to win this league, because if we don't, and Macclescum get back into the Football League, I will be SERIOUSLY pissed off.

It's bad enough contemplating Accrington bloody Stanley entertaining Sunderland in League 1 next year  >:(

As Wayno says, its in our own hands. 1 game at a time, I am sure we can do this. Games are coming thick and fast for all teams. Only 8 games left, so come on you Robins.

Shaw Lane next, no doubt a mud bath if its on. So lads need to be prepared to battle as last week at home.

Hopefully this is going to be a really exciting few weeks.

That season FCUM won it with 92 points was a relatively low total since the expansion to a 24 team NPL. Put into context, FCUM themselves finished on 96 points the previous season and still didn’t go up.
It does look possible that the threshold for winning the league could drop below 90 points this season, and so this has to be the year we do it. The bar is unlikely to be set as low next season.

But I don’t think there is much to worry about in that regard. It looks relatively smooth sailing from here. There is every chance our lead at the top will be in double figures by next Tuesday.
