Is there another inspection planned as it is hammering it down now where I am. Which is 10 metres from the ground.

Pitched looked fine when I walked past just now and stuck my head in through the gate. The guys have obviously worked hard today.

Forecast says it is likely to start raining around kick off time, and will stop just about the time the game finishes. We should get through it hopefully.

Gutted can't get there now.

Hope we pass the 100 goals scored milestone.

Good luck

Considering we have just won the league the attendance tonight was very poor

I think we took more to Grantham, the game itself was more like a friendly thought after scoring

After ten minutes the flood gates were going to open plenty of chances to have scored six or seven tonight.

A very deserved MOM for Max.

Yes, the attendance was very poor, but hardly unexpected in the circumstances.

A fine debut for Harry Sheridan is worthy of mention, I thought.

Understand why you would both say that, but I’m not so sure. The attendance tonight was only about 50 down on our midweek average for the whole season. Which I thought was decent enough considering the circumstances - a nothing game for both sides, arranged at 24 hours notice.

Clearly the crowd would have been larger if the game had been played the previous evening as scheduled, but the difference probably wouldn’t have been that substantial.

Whilst you’re probably right Matt (as you are with the vast majority of your forum posts may I add), the number in “real terms” will almost certainly have been down, considering season ticket holders are counted, whether they attend or not.

Indeed.  I'd be surprised if the TRUE attendance was any more than 360.

I certainly overestimated what I thought the crowd would have been if played on the Tuesday as planned. As Matt said, it's a dead rubber match arranged at short notice. Saturday has the trophy presentation, beer festival etc so expect a lot more to come.

Adding some context, there were 93 at Stalybridge last night.

Thought Theo Bailey Jones played well last night. Bit more match time and practice feeding his final ball to  Hume and it could be very interesting next season.
