Many thanks to our award winning webmeister...

Not a lot more to add other than my own thanks. You often don't notice how good something really is until it's gone. Happy retirement and any successor has big Alty shoes to fill.

John, many thanks for the web service you have provided over the years; it has also been a vital link to me last year when I was ill and when I was going through depression a few years ago.

This also reflects how vital the actual club was too during my low points. It has been a roller-coaster ride, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I remember being off ill with depression and the doctor said do things you enjoyed doing. So I went to away games on the coach.

John, your link was vital to me and is an everyday priority read, same goes for RR and Alty TV.  Fully recovered from both now, but still need the vital link.

Amazingly reliable and informative service for such a long time - clearly a labour of love.  I can only add my thanks to what everyone else has said.

Finding another individual meeting the criteria specified to replace John's role will be incredibly tough, especially as it is a voluntary position. I would suggest a team of people with specific responsibilities may be the way forward.

Whatever, thanks John for all your work - you will be missed.

I'll echo the thanks for such a great informative site.

I'll like to add specific thanks and praise for the maintenance of the historic archives of news and information - I had a look through a lot of it over xmas this year and its really good to be able to look back so far - I hope its preserved in some form for the future?

This is an important point, the vast content does need to be preserved

I’m fairly certain the new website is being developed on a new domain, so the old website will be left as-is for people to browse as they please. Almost like a time capsule.
