Every time somthing innovative happens in the conference we are out of it. Like when the top half of the conference were invited into the freight rover trophy

Indeed, and how do they decide on these teams? Bray the current whipping boys of the Airtricity Premier (and Sligo are not doing much better...sorry Brian).

Sutton and Boreham Wood were the two highest placed sides that didn’t go up. I’ve no idea how bray and Sligo did last season in terms of placings

The Irish League runs right through the summer and ends in October, thus missing the worst of the winter. It's a pretty sensible model, but would preclude their clubs invovement in the British preseason. Bray are comfortably bottom, while Sligo are in a three way fight to avoid the other relegation spot.

Indeed, as I indicated above, but I believe Pete was asking about last season. It still doesn't really stack up as Sligo only just avoided relegation and Bray finished mid table.

Borehamwood and Sutton have now been confirmed, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the competition expanded to take in all the conference sides at some point
