good news .....Wynne is a very good back up for Thommo, Downing looked very impressive and it's been too long since we had a player called Bay (Bay watch?)....and I'd start Bannister at right back for the season ahead of White who is a cracking left back but lacking when he plays right back as we found last season....

Cant wait for the season to start....I think we should compete for the play offs and have excellent cup and trophy runs....sacking off any dog walker or county fa games...

I was at the 'meet the team' meeting today. I actually said to Phil Parkinson that if we are up to budget then fair enough, but if we could fit in Bay and Lloyd then that would be great. I see something in Lloyd for the future and I am glad that both players have been fitted into the squad. He never said anything about the fact they had already been signed.

Just researched Bay Downing - very interesting ! Age 22, born Liverpool, attended Millfield School and was involved in 2 Englash Schools FA Cup finals for them as a right back. Went to America studying "entrepreneurship" at the University of Tampa.

Because both he and Lloyd Bannister have come in under the radar (Lloyd was playing in Belgium), we may possibly have made two pretty shrewd signings.

3 decent signings.

As we have some players on non contract terms, are we operating on same terms as last season, ie not in the match day squad they don't get paid?

Delighted that Elliot Wynne has signed...I’m also glad that we have Bannister on board now, slightly surprised about Downing being honest — but I hope to be proven wrong.

Based on the Trafford friendly Downing and Bannister both looked decent and Wynne looks like a good back up to TT. Welcome and good luck to all three.
