Would any attendee care to offer a synopsis of the AGM, as I was unable to be present at the meeting?

I'm hoping that John Laidlar will issue his customary report of the AGM in due course, as I'm not holding my breath that the official club website will get around to mentioning it.

I maintained my annual tradition of forgetting to go.

We made a loss of £31k last season. Shows the commitment to get us out of that league, where ideally we shouldn't have been.

I must go to one of those AGM's I forgot again!

A thoroughly detailed report self congratulatory pat on the back from Rowley as per the official site as follows

Chairman Grahame Rowley made the following statement:

Good evening and welcome to the 97th AGM of Altrincham Football Club

The 2017-18 season was a highly successful season resulting in promotion back to the Conference North at the first time of asking – the first time any team has managed this.

This achievement can be attributed to everyone associated with the club - who pulled together in times of adversity and brought about a strength within the club from Board to 1st team management to the supporters and volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Board over the season.

On that note I’d like to welcome Rob Esteva and Lawrence Looney to the Board who have taken on designated responsibilities as have all the Directors on the Board. Rob will oversee all football related matters and Lawrence has taken on the commercial role.

The accounts will show a loss of £31K over the season – showing the commitment we gave to Phil Parkinson and Neil Sorvel to assemble and run a squad good enough to achieve promotion and now that we’ve achieved that aim we are in a good position to progress further.

The management team and the majority of players have been retained for the 2018-19 season and with your support I’m sure the club will continue to go from strength to strength.

I look forward to the 2018-19 season with optimism

Grahame Rowley

Chairman

...yep....that's it
