Before my whinge, let's give Stockport the credit. As been said, have us sussed, but as any football game, 1st goal is key. If Hancock shot gone in rather than the post we'd be talking about a different game.

Go back to the cup game, and we were well on top until Williams picked up his injury, so fully understand why he started ahead of richman. Just Williams had a poor game. Great to see jones back, but as much as love dens we badly missed White today. Hope Jordan watched that and realised the consequences of his actions (although he is a player who you don't want to change, it annoys me it was an avoidable red)

Top 5 going in to the festive period, I'd snap your hand off. Get back on track at Guiesley and go from there

It was Hemmings shot that hit the post, but know what you mean.

Agree about Jordan. As others have posted it's a waste him being sat in the stands when he should be leading the line. Appreciate it was a straight red for a challenge but his attitude to berate refs and linesmen is pointless and counterproductive. They won't change their mind, but could show you a card when they otherwise might not have. He's gone on Alty TV saying he hates officials, well that attitude needs to be addressed, yes they're mostly random (possibly crap), but arguing with them to excess isn't helping your game, not when you are sat in the stands.

To say he doesn't like refs is bonkers, there'd be no game without them and he's really not going to endear himself to the refs with that attitude, it'll be interesting to see 2 full strength sides on NYD, I reckon we're 2 of the top 4 and I fancy us to edge it again.

It'll be interesting to see if Stockport are as defensively effective at our place against a full strength team. If they are, then fair play, but we'll see.

Really not sure why Williams attracts all the criticism whilst Max doesn't.

Fan favourite he may be, but I'd be keen to see our respective points returns with and without him - doesn't take ownership of games and no surprise our run coincided with his omission too.

Apparently 588 of us there yesterday. Excellent turnout. Certainly deserved better.

588 was a really impressive turnout, a lot has been said about our defence but we had a lot of good chances, it's not like we parked the bus.

Has Josh Langley, possible the world's most pointless signing, returned to his parent club now?

Thanks for the links.

Hemmings should have done better as I thought on the day, scored and as Jake said, it would have been a different game.

Sloppy from the corner conceding. There second from Mulhearn was class, great take. But Jones should have been closer and TT stayed on his feet.

We only started pressing late on after Richman came on, they pressed all game and had excellent energy levels and game plan.

JG said they are a hybrid team, so I assume some are fulltime and others part time? Interesting concept for us to look at perhaps.

Onwards to Guiseley, and hopefully a response. COYR.

Didn't look too bad because it was the highlights. What's missing is all the time going nowhere passing it across the back four at a pedestrian pace. There was no urgency to get the ball forward and by the time we did they were organised to deal with whatever came their way.

Looking forward to a different game tomorrow.

I'm not claiming to be any kind of football tactician, but the way I see it the passing across the back is to draw the opposition out, and create spaces to get the ball forward. The third goal against Bradford in the Trophy being a good example.

I think you're right but Stockport were well drilled and didn't need to chase the ball once they were a goal in front. We were still passing it along the back row for large portions of the second half. The change of tactics came very late on in the game.
