Alty - 19/20
Draw - 5/2
Blyth - 12/5

Another big game, would be a significant three points if we can get them. Putting us well back in to the mix.

We need to keep the momentum going from Saturday. It's that simple.

Another tough game against a team that hasn't lost in the 14 outings. We do seem to step up against form teams (Stockport the exception).

Alty 1-0 Blyth. Hulme

Another biggie, 3 points from this with Southport would go a long way to repairing the damage of a poor Christmas.

At this level as well, part time players having to travel all that way from Newcastle midweek must give us a slight advantage before a ball is kicked. Also our post game recovery ice chambers on Saturday, professionalism of our footballing operation has come a long way under PP.

Don’t know if we’ll see another loanee before the game but sure otherwise we’ll go again with same team as Saturday. Another clean sheet would be very welcome too.

The ice chamber would have been a massive advantage, but as its Blyth they only had stand outside for 20mins to achieve the same.

Worth keeping an eye on the general forecast too as snow/ice could conceivably cause problems for Blyth getting here. I presume any inspections etc. would have to be done by lunchtime in view of the time & distance involved?

Good point, although it’s usually frowned on by the footballing authorities when it comes to being unable to travel unless it’s really extreme circumstances . I remember it took a very long winded stewards enquiry including representatives from coach companies, police and the highways agency being involved when a game between Torquay and Weymouth was postponed a few years back. It was called off after the coastal roads between the two were considered to dangerous to travel on. Personally I think they should have been told to use the M5 and the A37 and found it to be a rather soft postponement as they pitch was playable and area around the stadium free of snow

Need an early decision especially what happened against Blyth in the Trophy when a late postponement didn't do anyone any favours.

Given its the final Tuesday before more people are paid, I'm surprised the club didn't try and schedule this in for Early Feb. I'm sure of course there are logical reasons

And surprised no call went out for volunteers to help put the covers on yesterday. This overnight rain didn’t come as a surprise.

We need a thorough explanation of how, when and why we use these covers because at the moment they’re coming across like a waste of time and donated money. I may be wrong, but forgive me for thinking they should have been used overnight - what else did we get them for if not?

I agree - I'm getting quite frustrated about them.
