The draw specialists - a trend they started at our place on the opening day of the season.

We'll be fresh, but they had a tough game on Tuesday against County. We need the three points from this to maintain our playoff challenge. The two teams above us have quite tough assignments - Spennymoor host Chester, and Telford go to Southport., so It's feasible that we could be up to 4th at teatime on Saturday.

I'm on the coach and will be ready to rumble....

Looking forward to this one. Easy direct train from Manchester or London, some decent pubs, friendly locals & we normally get some kind of result vs Lem.

Given after this Saturday it’s potentially a 2 week gap to our next league game vs FCUM think it’s v important we take the points. They’ve only won 3/13 at home so we should go home with something at least. Looking forward to seeing this new lad from Barrow too, hopefully more like Dale/Hemmings than the other recent loanees.

I very much doubt injury hit Chester will get anything at Spennymoor, but hopefully Southport should take points off Telford.

We saw how resilient Leamington were earlier in the season and they've been fairly consistent ever since in being hard to beat (even Stockport were hanging on at the end). Of course we can win, but the smart money is on a draw.

They’ve not won since November... I think we know what that means.

Wed should be fresh and need to get at them. New Striker on the bench should keep Jordan on his toes.

Same team as last Saturday I guess barring any injuries.

We can certainly get a result. Come on Alty

We are a lot better when we opened the season against Leamington.
I expect us to come away with 3 points tomorrow.

The Brakes 0-2 Alty

Not a bad journey for me, mainly motorway.

What was the red for?
He kicked out at a player in "retaliation" (retaliation in quotes as he wasn't the player who had been fouled) and this was picked up by the assistant, not the referee, as the play had moved on.

Their 2 led with his elbow every single time and finally connected with the new lad's head in the area and ref gave nothing so Hulme's frustration got the better of him.  No excuse but the ref was one of the worst I've seen.  Their pen looked very soft albeit Hanigan should never have got himself in that position in the first place, their 3rd was clearly a foul as the forward climbed all over us as he had been doing all day.  We should have had a couple of penalties - one for handball, they jumped with their arms in the air to block every clearence we made and he gave only about 3 of them during the game but not the one in the area - the elbow at the end was also blatant.  It was the endless niggle fouls by them he ignored that wound everyone up.  Sliding challenge on JJ and he gave nothing, their 7 lost the ball and chased Hampson 30 yards clearly intent on retribution and kicked him when he got their yet no booking, 2 minutes earlier he'd booked white (?) for a minor pull back.

TT was really poor today, persistent clearing into touch 3 or 4 goal kicks straight into touch, he came out a couple of times and got nowhere near the ball.  We cleared off the line a couple of times with  TT nowhere to be seen.  The only silver lining today was that TT was so bad that PP will have to act now.

He actually pushed the bloke over . He wasn't the player fouled he just lost his composure (again) unecessary red imo.
What a f**king sh*t day out that was

Well apart from the opening 10 minutes where we looked pretty sharp, that was absolutely awful, probably the worst all round team performance I’ve seen under Parky. Not one player can come out of that with any credit. We lost the ball cheaply all game and the lack of reaction when the second and third goals went in was worrying. Every player had an off day and Josh Hancock, James Jones and Max Harrop were unusually poor. Unfortunately I’m used to the level of performance from Tony Thompson, he was absolute garbage.

Absolutely appalling.

Our inability to defend balls into our box is a recurrent theme - it seems like we work at it every now and again, then have a game where we do ok at it, then PP says 'see, told you we can defend set-pieces' and then we forget about it again and revert to being dreadful. We barely won a header in our own box in the first half. It's such a basic requirement of football - could we employ a specialist set-piece coach? Our coaching team seems incapable of doing it. It goes without saying that it would help if we had a competent goalie.

The meek and feeble way we seemed to roll over and accept defeat in that first half when things weren't going our way was by far the most concerning thing.

I didn't see what Jordan did to their No. 2 but whatever it was, the guy is an imbecile.
