Great result.
Need to kick on now
Well done lads.
Great to see the young lads get on the scoresheet, great for their confidence.

Was Drench injured or dropped.

Watching him at half time, he was restricting himself to bending and stretching. He may be carrying an injury.

I was surprised to read that this was Sean Williams's first goal in a competitive game for Altrincham. Would have been an even better second if his Paul Scholesian volley from JJ's corner had gone in.

It's a remarkable statistic for a man who was Warrington's top goalscorer last season.

His only other goal was in his first ever appearance for Alty in our 1st pre-season game in July 2014.

Sat. 5.7.14   3pm   A   Abbey Hey   6-1   S.Williams 26, Reeves 34,39,69,77, Perry 55

He had, of course, scored twice AGAINST us the previous season for Colwyn Bay.

Didn't think we'd get anything out this game, then I saw Ryan Brooke playing CDM and it all my thoughts changed. Don't know if plays there regularly but really.

Our wingers ruined both full backs all afternoon, Hancock was back to his best and that was Williams best game all season. Only negatives were a couple of Thompson and Jones  passes.

Well done to everyone.

Big decision on Saturday is who is the lone striker.

It would be very harsh on Piggott if he doesn't start.

Great result, can't comment on game as was not there. But really pleased for everyone. Now a cushion building in 7th to 8th. lets see if we can push on.

Great that Piggott has given Jordan and Phil something to think about. If both fit will be an interesting choice by Phil.

Unlike a number of recent games FCUM and BPA included, Curzon allowed us to have possession quite deep, so Sean Williams was very prominent all afternoon. This was in direct contrast to the home game - if John Flanagan was still the manager I doubt they would've set up that way. Yesterday proved that if any opposition stand off us we'll beat them. That's why even the best teams don't.

After the second goal you could see the confidence flowing through the side - JJ was back to his best and Ceesay looks a real talent. If PP and NS can get a level of performance anywhere near yesterday for the rest of the season there are plenty of  reasons to be optimistic for the weeks ahead.

Incredible win by any stretch and PP, NS & the players rightly deserve all the praise today.

Chester on a poor run and the natives restless there, completing the double over them next Saturday would go a long way towards firming us up in the play offs for me. Hoping as well JH comes back with the bit between his teeth and ready to make up for his self-inflicted absences.

Great win yesterday, next few games give us an oppurtunity to gather a bit of form heading into tough fixtures against Brackley and Telford and it looks like Poole is coming near to a return and of course Hulme is back so our options are alot broader in attack.

Lets get behind them, Up the reds

The Telford game will need to be rearranged as they are playing in the FA Trophy Semi-Final 2nd Leg on March 23rd.

Thank goodness that Leyton Orient turned things around against Brackley yesterday, otherwise our game against Brackley on March 16th would have had to have been rearranged as well, as that is the date for the FA Trophy Semi-Final 1st Leg, which would have meant no game for us from March 9th-30th!

Some good finishing there and poor goalkeeping. But a great win none the less
