Goal of the season - no arguments. We murdered them second half. If Jon Parkin was the answer, what on Earth was the question ?

Great result

Assume Jones was swapped for the new lad from Crewe to take care of Parkin and he was not injured - he was a big lad and looked comfortable on his debut

Fantastic goal from Hancock

Piggott has had back spasms, and that is a correct interpretation of the Sass-Davies for Jones substitution.

That was a mature, hard working and deserved 3 points. For me, that was the result that barring a big cock up from here should secure us a play off spot.

Standouts all over the pitch but Hancocks goal was utter class (and I’ve now seen it on video too-no fluke), Ceesay really worried them all day and should have scored and Hulme gave a classic centre forwards display. Defensively solid, the new lad from Crewe was a very safe bet when he came on. A word again for TT, great block when York clean through and looked nailed on to take the lead first half. He has responded very well to Drench coming in.

250 away fans and plenty I’ve seen in the pubs of York both before and after. The club is moving forward on and off the pitch.

Hannigan had one of his best games. Jordan was great at holding up despite all the attention of the York players.

What a dump the away end was. I will never feel embarassed about the Chequers end again

Well after a long old day 12 hrs from leaving Bayston hill to getting back...
A great day in Yaaarkshire. What a good win against a decent team who were in a run of decent form...
Yet again the officials did their level best to f**k the game up in their inevitable way, especially the lino running the line by the away support.
He found it amusing that he was being berated for his poor efforts.
As for Parkin, I would be too ashamed to turn out in a club shirt in the state of him. He is an embarrassment to football. Anybody with an ounce of pride would ensure that they would at least look like a player, rather than the state of him.. I reckon his weekly food/drink intake could feed a third world country for a bloody month.
Anyway back to the game . A good performance was capped off by a wordly goal from Josh. Another great 3 pts  and a double over one of the better teams.
TT, Hannigan and JH were my standouts today.

I thought the subs were bang on and timed to perfection by PP/NS to neutralise the effects of the York subs (including lard arse)

Brackley next week, let's get at them from the off and carry on the fight.
Cmon Alty.

You could see their confidence in the first half given the run they were on, but we absorbed everything well without creating too much ourselves. Both sides scrapped for control and make no mistake, we were kept in the game by Tony Thompson who produced an excellent piece of goalkeeping when they broke through. Three clean sheets in four now, great to see.

The game changed when they brought Parkin on and went two up top. It gave us a lot more space in midfield and from 60' onwards Moult & Williams controlled the game. Only one side in it and the goal was, as you've seen, ridiculous. Great change bringing the new lad on to battle Parkin, who needs to pack it in at the end of the season. Embarrassing.

MOTM was White for me.

A reasonable assessment by Watson I thought.....apart from the bit where he says Jon Parkin is unfairly penalised by referees..."just moving players out of the way"....fine if using his bulk, but he used two hands in the back on several occasions

Hannigan my MoM

Parkin reminded me of Mr.Blobby to be honest. I used to rate him, but he's become a caricature of himself.
