York City - Match Thread
« on: March 07, 2019, 12:12:17 PM »

Alty 7/5
Draw 12/5
York 8/5

A game we really have to avoid defeat in, a win would probably put to an end any thoughts of york gate crashing the playoffs. They seem rejuvenated under Steve Watson and have won four on the spin. However a decent big pitch at bootham
Crescent will suit us and if we play to our best we can come away with three points. Another big chance to put daylight between ourselves and the chasing pack as was Tuesday. Tough game for Kidderminster at chorley but you’d expect Chester to beat leamington at home

Another massive game. They won't be as shambolic as they were at ML.

Only decision is Hulme or Piggott. Rightly or wrongly I think Hulme will get the nod.

York 0-1 Alty. Johnston

Tough-but they’ll all be like that now as we approach the business end. York do seem to have appointed some duffers in the recent past but they’ve clearly got the one right.

Looking forward to a very decent match and a full day on the ales round a glorious city. To think we were playing Rushall Olympic this time last year. Guessing we’ll take somewhere approaching 200-this & Chester are the best days out for me.

Won five of their last six, but apart from Kidderminster their victims have been at the wrong end of the table. Won't be easy, but we can do it.

Hulme looked rusty and didn't do anything when he came but I would start him because we need him match fit for the run in. I rate Piggott but we need Hulme up to speed.
I would also start Dens and White at full back. Hampson isn't fully fit, whether it is hand or the knock on Tuesday.
We need to utilise Dolan more, just a gut feeling he will be a good player and offer us something different.

I'm not Jordan's biggest fan after the number of suspensions he's had but he didn't get much service on Tuesday. You can't deliver in a vaccuum.

Just read the match preview on main site.

Are they really the admission prices?

Still not the cheapest, but a lot better.

Cheers

Goal of the season - no arguments. We murdered them second half. If Jon Parkin was the answer, what on Earth was the question ?
