Re. Bill Waterson's obituary of John Maunders on the club's official website, my memory may be playing tricks on me here but I don't recall us being drawn at home to Spurs in the FA Cup Third Round back in 1995 and the tie subsequently being switched to White Hart Lane.

Did that happen...?!

I'm pretty sure we were drawn away. I remember watching the live draw on the telly.

We were drawn away against "Bye or Tottenham Hotspur" and once Tottenham were confirmed as being allowed to participate we duly played them at White Hart Lane.

I remember Sir Bert Millichip raising an eyebrow when that tie was pulled out of the hat!  :D

Out of interest, why "bye", what was the problem with Tottenham's participation ?

Assume a bye would have meant free passage to the next round for Alty

First main paragraph will explain it. I think the appeal was ongoing between the draw and the match
