An other big game, hoping to make it.

Barring injuries I would suggest we may go with the same starting lineup.

Three points please

If Jake is ready, I wouldn't hesitate to put him in the side. However, the fact he was left on the bench on Saturday makes it unlikely he'll play tomorrow. I wonder if Josh will be on the bench.

Josh was an active part of the warm-up drills on Saturday so he can't be too far away, but I believe he's still nursing the tweak he picked up away at Brackley so we have to be careful. Too big a player, needs to be 100% and the same goes for Moult. That said, Hemmings was great in the #10 role and I agree with Dave - unchanged if we can do so.

A very rare midweek game in the North for me so am looking forward to my first trip to Haig Avenue for about 20 years I’d guess.

Had a look on PortChat, the natives grumbling as usual and they like us have had an underwhelming start to the season, difference is I think the vast majority of us think long term that this management and set of players can take us forward, don’t get that impression with Port fans and Watson.

Important with two home games this week we build on Saturday’s momentum and with our away record so far being two draws and two defeats then I’ll go with a low scoring 1-1.

DEFINITELY wouldn't change the side that started on Saturday. Southport's two wins have both been by 3-0 margins, but the other six games have only yielded one goal. Their defence, however, has only been breached six times in eight games.

It'll be tight, and I feel that we need to score early if we want all three points. It won't be easy, and it won't be pretty.

1-0 Hemmings

I can tell you now that morale amongst Southport fans is very, very low - I know a few regulars who have chosen not to go tomorrow. The team have collapsed after a decent start. Will we turn up? They're certainly there for the taking.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hemmings emulate Mick Carmody's memorable piledriver which secured us a 2-1 victory at Southport back in September 1995.

Why, after a decent win on Saturday, did we then go out with a different team and a different formation?

That first half was embarrassing. Never seen so many terrible passes. White looked as if he had never played football before and he was dog turd again. Neither full back are playing well this season. Surely Dens should be given a few games over White. His pass completion must have been about 20%. Awful.

PP got the team selection very wrong and allowed them to play their terrible long balls and throwings into the box. Should have started with the same team as on Saturday.

We are a different team with Hancock and Ceesay on the pitch. Those two must start every game.

People may have groaned about JJ going off but Hemmings has that extra quality and much better at crossing.

We need Hannigan back. Jones and Mullarkey were bullied first half.

Still missing that quality centre mid.

On a plus side Thompson played well and had to.

Can we have the purple kit back as we can't compete passes in the grey.

Agree with every word of that. The grey kit is actually quite sh*t. Does anyone actually have one?
