I would like to see Dens back at right back, Moult and Ringo in centre mid and the same forward 4 we had against Farsley

Has Williams ever put in a match winning performance? I don't just mean played on the winning team. He looked totally out of his depth last night. Admittedly Southport first half did everything right to stop Altrincham, but it's hard to think that only a few months ago we took promotion winning Chorley to a penalty shoot-out.

He gave the ball away more in the 45 minutes he was on than any other player I have ever seen. He was correctly withdrawn and should be nowhere near the starting 11 on Saturday.

To be fair, the same accusation could be made to the entire team, minus Thompson. It was abject from everyone, so totally wrong to single out one player. I could do the same for a different player, but I don’t see the point. By your logic, we would need to play the reserves on Saturday as everyone was crap..

The manager chose to withdraw him.

The manager chose to withdraw him.

The manager also chose to start with a different formation to that used on Saturday. Maybe Ceesay arriving late forced his hand. Sean Williams was given a different role to the one in which, to my mind, he's been one of our most consistent performers so far this season. It clearly didn't suit his style of play. He'll be back, and he'll prove his worth.

Thought it was just me that thought this season's away kit is horrible

No, it is naff, and difficult tp pick out in poor lighting conditions. Perhaps we should change it yellow, as we were very good at passing to yellow shirts on Tuesday.

I agree, comes in for some harsh and unfair criticism in my opinion.
