Kidderminster - Match Thread
« on: September 11, 2019, 10:52:23 AM »

Any news on the injuries? Hoping we go there with three points in mind. They’ve had as mixed a start as we have. For those travelling by train, one thing worth considering is a West Midlands day ranger. It covers you from Crewe or stoke down to Kidderminster and anywhere in between all day for £27. It can only be purchased at a manned station though, any manned station but not online or at a ticket machine

Ceesay defo out, Hampson must be a major doubt, Hannigan straight back in.

Well concede a pen and/or get a red.

Kidderminster are not as big a club as they think they are, and are clearly not at their best right now. Reported locally today that there are cash flow problems yet again - academy coaches not fully paid.

Time to lay our bogey.

2-1 Alty (Hancock, Hemmings)

Attendance 1234

All cottage pie in visitors section sold out before half time.

I hope we put on a good display and win 2-1, but I fear it will be our regulation 3-1 defeat at Aggborough.

Besides their cashflow problems mentioned above, Kidderminster's regular goalkeeper is out, and their home record is even worse than our away record, so it could hardly be a better time to play them.
I am never optimistic going to Aggborough, but if we can play as well we did there last season, we surely can't lose again.

They’ve lost one of their on loan defenders to injury also. There won’t be a better time to record a win at Kidderminster. I was at the last one in 94 and seen plenty of poor results since

League win. Best them in cup 1-0.

The pattern is good at home and poor away mid table at this rate

Well that was woeful. No real excuses, weather and the pitch both perfect and playing a team who at the start were clearly low on confidence too. I’ve now seen York, Southport and Kiddy and seen us play progressively worse each time. Whatever it is that is happening to us away from home PP & NS really need to work it out this week because the Cup is so important. Only TT & Hemmings for me emerged with any real credit.

On a side note the pub in the train station, absolutely superb. Should have stayed in there.

Another woeful display at Kiddy. Why oh why does PP insist on pissing about passing it back and forward along the back. It's pretty obvious the team aren't much good at doing that....

No plan B

Mid table mediocrity !!!!!

We needed more fighting spirit in the middle of the park yesterday ...

Connor Hampson impressed...

It’s fairly obvious teams are pressing us more and higher up the pitch. Nothing to do with kits. We missed ceesay yesterday because they doubled up on JJ and we had little in terms of outlet and Jordan Hulme was pretty isolated. Again we should have been facing ten men for most of the game as awful challenges went unpunished or received the wrong colour card. With Branson going we need to draft someone in even on loan that can give us more presence in the middle
of the park and distribute the ball. The passing yesterday much like at Southport was very very poor. The lads need to anticipate that they will get harried more this season and adapt accordingly.

If we're having such problems at right back and Densmore can't command a place in the starting line up, is it time to let him go and get a replacement in? I'm not sure if we're just keeping him around as a luxury this point.

I don't actually know by the way, just asking. I've seen one game this season and Dens didn't play so I've got no idea.
