Not sure if anyone else bought a program? I did, some interesting pages on Alty, stats on players with goals scored etc. Histrionics of different years the club wen through with success etc. Good value at £2.50 Good little read.
I bought one and got a pleasant surprise when he said £2.50 instead of £3.00.A very nice tough having free pizza at halftime as well.A big thanks to Portsmouth for all they did for us.

And cups of tea were only £1 !!  (UHT milk though)

Pretty much everything about the set up at Portsmouth impressed me - the friendliness and generosity of spirit of the fans, the fact that everything was good value, the noise and atmosphere even when less than half full, the old school feel of the ground, set amongst rows of terraced houses where the back yards almost touched the stands, the boozers, the obvious deep love of the club and their city  - hand clapping to Portsmouth Harbour was a high point for me - the deep hatred of Southampton, and the general sense of the love of the game.

Probably the most positive away ground experience at a league club I have ever had - apart from the result.

Worst was for me indisputably Burnley 1982 - from being gobbed on, spat at and threatened in police escort all the way from the away fans coach park - felt like about 10 miles away - to the Nazi salutes and Doc Martin boots of their hundreds of skinhead followers packed up against the segregated fence, the United 'Red Army' lads along for the fight in our end who didn't give a damn about the game, to the result of course-  we lost 6 1 in a match that felt like the beginning of the end of an era - which is was of course.

37 years on, I really do believe we are at the beginning of a new era of major success, that's how good both the players and fans were.

I have read plenty of supportive messages, watched the videos, listened to the interviews, written postive posts on the forum, read the comments from Pompey fans.....but two days on and still totally gutted

Fleetwood away for Pompey possibly the worst draw they could get

4 places above them in the league and a home gate of 3,811 on a Saturday vs Tranmere.

So glad we aren't missing out on another great day out

Yes, I wouldn't have fancied our chances, it's not a big day out and it's not a money spinner either.

Time to focus on promotion I think.

The draw helps with the pain of the loss a little doesn’t it?   Imagine the extra agony if Pompey had got a top Premier League team.....

Also imagine the disappointment tonight if we had won, or even got a replay.  Hoping for Anfield or Old Trafford and getting Fleetwood - we'd have been gutted

Yeah Fleetwood would have been scant reward, but we'd have taken it and the 2nd round prize money!

Play up Pompey!

I agree. The only decent ties seem to be Fylde away at the Blunts; or Boston v Newcastle (if Boston win the replay)

On the disappointment front, spare a thought for Solihull.....3 up with ten minutes to go at home to Rotherham...only to lose

And if we had got through : yet another away trip !

On train from Waterloo to Fratton, my brother and me were talking to two other Alty fans and a Pompey fan and discussing what would be worst possible draw for the winner - I suggested away Carlisle, but my brother opined that Fleetwood away would be the worst possible draw, on the basis of rubbish crowd - probably more Alty there than fishy fans, no telly as deeply unappealing tie, and we would probably lose anyway.  He is a bit too clever for his own good is my bruv!  ;D

Funny how things work out, though i'd have taken it over soul-crushing defeat in the dying seconds at Fratton Park.  Still, all FA Cup runs end in disappointment unless you win, and it really was a great cup run

to be fair with ten minutes left they were only 1 up, admittedly they had been 3 up five minutes earlier!

I wonder if Pompey will take as many to Fleetwood as we took to theirs?

Seeing as they took over 600 to Harrogate in the first round on a Monday night, I'd say so.
