Stalybridge match thread

Huge game tonight....

I am sure Parky will field the 1st team players with the least minutes tonight, plus a few signed from the Youth/Reserves.

Come on Alty.

It's tempting to think of the CSC as irrelevant, but it has an important role to play in giving game time to players who don't get a regular start. A great opportunity for our youngsters to catch the eye too. Here's hoping we can progress - I'll follow it on RR. My old bones feel the cold much more nowadays !

Anybody else?

Pity that Harrop picked up a booking.

Another ref may have given a red.

It was just normal Max Harrop. He was putting himself about a bit in midfield like he does and the ref saw one too many aggressive challenge. I thought him and Hampson were trying to boss the game and everyone else was playing a much less physical game.

2 - 0 flattered Celtic a bit. No doubt they deserved to win but we gifted them the second goal.

Any of the youngsters impress? How'd Torrance do?

One or two decent saves.

Curtis Miller and Dontai Gabidon the picks of the bunch. Thought we may have seen Ben Elliot.

Torrance appeared to favour his right foot. He did make some good stops but also made me a bit nervous when he was slow to clear his lines. Thinking about it he was doing a good impression of the TT of last year!
