Leamington match thread
« on: January 02, 2020, 09:36:01 AM »

Momentum is so important in football. We haven't always been brilliant over the holiday season, but we've come out of it with 9 points and two clean sheets.

Last time, we produced the poorest 45 minutes of our season in the first half at the New Windmill, and never looked like recovering from three goals down.

Hopefully we'll be sickness-free by Saturday, and can end the Brakes' five game unbeaten home run. I take us to battle our way to three more points.

Always a tough place to go, in the depths of winter especially, hope the weather is a bit better then last season.

Normally for me after such a busy run of games this would be in the ‘take a point territory’ but if we are going to get into the play offs then we really need to up our game away from home and start beating sides who will probably end the season below us, such as Lem. The performance at Curzon on Boxing Day where we dominated the whole game should encourage us.

Always a decent day out Lem too, good craic and ales in their bar and a few decent pubs in the town centre such as The Cricketers and the Woodland Tavern.

Anyone going by train to Leamington remember the cheapest way to do it is buying a return to stoke on Trent or Crewe  from here and buying a West Midlands’s day ranger from any manned station in the country. The West Midlands day ranger covers you from stoke on Trent or Crewe stations as far down as Leamington and is 27 quid for an adult

Barring injuries can see a similar starting lineup to New Years Day. maybe Peers in for Max.

Come on you Robins

I'd be playing Harrop as he'll be missing for the next 3 games

I'd be playing Harrop as he'll be missing for the next 3 games

Max can play against Blyth on Tuesday as well as his suspension kicks in after 7 days.

See their forward, Josh Marsh has agreed a deal with a EFL club. Should rule him out today then

Grey to stay.

Great result. Sounded more dangerous when Peers came on.

Looking forward to Tuesday.
