Seems like another nail in Macc's coffin.  Other reports suggest that four of their first choice players are about to jump ship also.  As much as I want to see Alty get ahead of Macclesfield (as indeed we almost always were until more recent times in our combined histories) I would actually prefer it if it was not achieved in this way.

Spot on, but kind of begs the question:  What is a realistic level for us going forward after a decade (or more) of struggling to make any mark at all in the National League (Conference)?

I think we can be good enough to make it ti mid table National league respectability if we can keep our infrastructure together and a few sensible signings.

Whilst I secretly harbour thoughts of Alty in the EFL (and have done so since 1979) I know that you are absolutely right and unless there is some kind of magical intervention my aspirations on that front will have to wait
