Kings Lynn have now lost two games on the run, and without Gash and Marriott scoring. That's a definite wobble. Always on the cards that they were going to have a spell like this given the run they've had. Remember how Chorley appeared all conquering last season and threw it away? Could happen to Kings Lynn and still time for any one of the chasing pack to catch them. Boston look strong given their run but perhaps they are due a blip now.

Kings Lynn score a lot of goals. They have only gone two away league this season without scoring, and one of those was the opening day. They also let in a lot. This game is between the two teams with the best scoring and worst goals conceded records of the teams currently in the play-off places (if you ignore the differences in games played).

Altrincham need to score with every clear chance available because Kings Lynn will probably score twice. If we get a pen it's got to go in this time.

0-0

1652 with 200 still outside at kick-off time.
top teasing . Anyway I've learnt my lesson . I am in the queue now

Be great if we could get some form of update from the club as to the current state of play.

Agreed. My assumption would be 0900 pitch inspection Saturday morning to prevent Kings Lynn from travelling unnecessarily if it is off. However, in advance of that a general update on the state of the pitch and how optimistic we are would be good. As long as it comes out before we have to get on the train at Euston on Saturday morning (sorry Chris, know that’s no good for you flying!)

It was bobbins from early morning until about 2pm today. Then the sun came out, and it’s been dry with clear skies since and we’ve still got clear skies at present. It will have needed this respite so fingers crossed

Flying back from Malaga tomorrow after 3 weeks in the sun in Nerja. Can’t believe the weather is so crap back home after what I’ve enjoyed but desperately hoping the game is on....there’s only so much La Liga one can stomach!

T o Management Guru, if you need any help on the turnstiles on Saturday. I'm willing to assist. As a retired accountant I think I can grasp it pretty quickly! But need to know in advance. SBL :) :)
. Hi could you contact the club if you are offering to man a gate . Gate6 will be open as usual between 1 and 1.30

No they aren't. Maybe they are frost covers.
There's a good drying wind blowing at the moment.
They’re rain covers according to this.

That is very good if we have purchased these. Why haven't the club given us any update? Or are we just trailing them. Even way an update would be appreciated.

They’re the ones that are sat behind the goals I think they’ve only been deployed once. Pitch looked ok earlier when I went past. No standing  water. It’ll be the troublesome corner if anything. Let’s wait and see what is said

Thanks for that. Sounds promising at least, but would be good to hear an official line from the club wrt to proposed pitch inspection, time, etc (or indeed if they are just totally confident it will go ahead).
