SUNDERLAND TIL I DIE
« on: May 03, 2020, 08:41:57 AM »

Hi all, for those footie fans with Netflix (maybe on other platforms I don't know) there is a really interesting and compelling documentary/drama called Sunderland til I die. There's two series and it tells of the demise of the club since being relegated from the Premiership and the hard season when they were also relegated from the Championship. Its really a worthwhile watch and if you haven't seen it I would recommend it. (Unless your a Sunderland fan of course!) SBL

As a Middlesbrough fan the 1st series was hilarious 😂
The 2nd series was very interesting in seeing how the new owners have to grapple with the legacy of mis-spending and the episode on transfer deadline day was revealing. Well worth a watch

A compelling watch, really enjoyed it. They didn't film anything last season, but the popularity of the series may lead to a 3rd series being made at some point.
It's certainly an unfinished story, the way Series 2 has been completed.

The Netflix Gazza documentary is also a good watch. That goal he scored in an England shirt when he flicks the ball over the defender and in the same move volleys it into the net has got to be up there! SBL
(PS Can't find the Leeds one).

I think the defender was Colin Hendry. He conceded some cracking goals in his day.

Most definately Colin Hendry. He was all over the place.

Gazza scored one of England's most memorable TV goals and then laid on his back to celebrate.

Colin Hendry always says he was 'done' by a world class player that day. Fair play to him.
