Irresponsible & suspicious timing I’d say. Chester fans just want someone to put a load of cash in from the replies on Twitter so he might become the owner. At best they are a lower half 4th tier club IMO.

Murphy ends association with Chester. Negotiations ongoing regarding money he owes the club (Sponsorship payments). Deadline set by club for payment was yesterday.

Well, it certainly doesn't sound like they can afford Hulme, and it'll be interesting to see what happens to Johnston.

Oh dear, JJ's deal just changed from being "too good to turn down" to being "too good to be true"

Jordan appears to have dodged a bullet, which JJ may have failed to do.

It wouldn't  be that much of a shock to see jj back at some stage

I won't be watching a team with John Johnson in it. Chased the money and shouldn't be welcomed back here.

Gents, like most of us I was disappointed to see JJ leave. I think however, your being a little bit harsh on him. He has a family to support and if it is his only job he has to look after what's best for himself and his family (or what was perceived to be best at the time). You cannot blame him for that. I for one would welcome him back. SBL

I was sorry to see JJ leave and I really do wish him well. It's just, we were so much better without him. Keeping as much of the existing squad is more important than recruiting new players.

I agree. When he played, we often became dependent on him producing something special. Since his departure we've become a more cohesive unit. I bear him no malice, but I wouldn't want him back.
