I heard it would have taken £ 150k ish for testing over ten games or so  to complete the season . That's 15k  per game roughly .Presume it would cost nln clubs the same

Less than that, but still a hefty bill, I believe.

From coaching right through to the operation staff inside the ground on a match day, we have less staff to test. There are also less contact 'events' to test for, in comparison with full time football clubs who train and travel to hotels, etc.

So I don't think we'd be looking at those sorts of members but it certainly ain't cheap.

I understand that the EFL have paid to test all Championship and L1 players and staff and FOUR L2 teams (presumably the playoff teams) but have the actual costs been revealed ?

So presumably NL would have to pay for each playoff team and staff to be tested before they could return to training.
Thats 18 teams,.. where would that money come from ?

Vanarama? (Benefit from five televised games on BT)
BT money from this season / last season if left?
Club contributions?

We could use some of the 30k raised? Or we could crowd fund.

Or we could use revenue from future playoff streamed game ( 500 people watching a stream of the game at £10 each is £5k, likewise 200 people at £25)

If it came to play offs, will we be home or away.
Has that finally been decided.
If we are at home, do we pay for everyone to be tested?
Will the players still be on contract.
Not saying us, but could clubs bring in other players for the play offs.
This is a minefield.
The one good  thing, if we are at home,  the pitch is looking ok for a play off game.

We'd be at home (unless it was a neutral venue like Carrington?) Followed by two aways.

I'd imagine if it's before August it'd be empty ground so you'd imagine all players, managers physio, a few people to open the club up, refs and any St Johns ambulance. Oh and Mr Alty TV.

Im sure given Parkinson has kept his powder dry, most players would be hoping to earn an extension and would sign up for an extra three games - especially if televised.

I did hear , it could be  PPG, so only be 2-5 in the playoffs, then we would be away to York

Lot of people confusing the statement from EFL that only four clubs would be involved. This was as some proposals wanted them extending before going back to the standard four.

We'll no doubt be six style. But I'd love to be wrong and Chester and Gateshead to miss out.

Ollie Baylsis:

The National League board meet this afternoon.

Top of the agenda will be whether to hold playoffs & how to decide the leagues.

I understand the League will speak with clubs from each division tomorrow.

Clubs will then be asked to vote.

The FA need to ratify any decisions.

Details on tomorrow afternoon's divisional meetings:

Clubs will be given a presentation by the National League CEO Michael Tattersall & an FA representative.

Only 2 representatives from each club can attend (one must be the chairman).

Clubs may submit questions in advance.

From Twitter:

Huge vote for The National League tomorrow afternoon...

My understanding is that York are the team with the most to gain or lose.

Clubs will be asked if they want play offs or not...IF clubs vote ‘no’ then York should go up with Kings Lynn. BUT....

IF York vote NO and 4 other NLN sides vote YES then the play offs will go ahead without York.

So - York owner Jason McGill will basically play a game of poker ♠️ gambling on what he thinks the other clubs will vote for...

However - most likely scenario is clubs vote for NO play offs which means Kings Lynn, York, Wealdstone and Havant go up

Playing the games will cost each club circa £60k - so it’s whether they want to gamble on promotion or take stock ready for next season in current division. 60k estimate on wages and testing.
