Phew. Chester threw everything at us at 3-0 but we got there in the end. We’ll need to step it up at York but we are well capable of winning there as we all know.

Re the coverage the picture was good and good idea to have a commentator from each club but Brian Flynn made Chesters commentator sound a complete amateur, he was incredibly biased and bitter about proceedings.

I bet Flynny will have a headache working with that guy! Why do Alty always have to make things so difficult for us? It feels like a loss tbh. Probably because I can see York easily piercing our dreadful back line next week. Presumably James Jones is now not able to participate and where is Dens? We so badly needed his experience today.
We won somehow, but I'm not optimistic. All we can hope for is that York's lack of competitive game time impacts on them as much as it did us today.

TBF Brian is always top quality, Mr Turner was no better than any of us after a couple pre-match ;-). We looked exactly how I thought we would look - pre season in thought and sharpness so not really fair to have a go - we're through, onwards to York.
