I’m just gutted there’s no video footage of that OG at Kettering in 2005, I have never seen a more classic example of the genre in 30 years of watching us.

And the absolute bedlam in the Alty end.

In the frustrating absence of any video footage, here's a photograph of that sublime Alty moment:

If you fancy reliving that day back in May 2005, then here's a gallery to browse through (and the chance to spot a few famiilar faces in the Alty away support, quite a few of whom are sadly no longer with us):

Thanks Cult
It has just reminded me just how close to David Birch I was with my 10 year old son ! Not the best place to stand, but he needed to see over the hoardings

Thanks cult, for the photos.
I was there but avoided the pics.
That was some day,  and another great ALTY side.
Was working with Chrisy Adams at that time. We had to work on Saturday mornings , he couldn’t believe how I got there on time.
There was one photo showing behind the goal.
It’s sad a lot of ALTY fans no longer with us, but they left that day very happy.

All three KTFC  players are thinking the same thing, it rhymes with 'luck'.

It was his testimonial year & I believe after like 10 years or something it was his last ever game for Kettering too, unbelievable way to go out the poor bugger.

I keep thinking about this comment.

I think his irony filter needs replacing.
