So the mystery is revealed.

Seems to have good experience at this level so should be a good signing.

Agreed.
Seems to have a lot of experience in the lower leagues and good to see that he is fighting fit.
Should be a good addition.
This is where we should be picking up a good standard of player. Those who are self employed or who have steady well paid jobs that don't want to go full time.

Info on Jake

Wikipedia

Jacob Oliver Sedgemore (born in Birmingham, October 20, 1978) is a professional footballer, currently without a club after being released by Kidderminster Harriers at the end of the 2006/07 season.

[edit] Football Career
Jake began his footballing career at home in the Midlands with West Bromwich Albion, whom he joined as a trainee back in August 1997. In December of that year, he spent a short loan spell with non-league side Hednesford Town. After impressing, the deal was made permanent in October 1998.

Renowned for his footballing versatility, Jake actually spent part of his career with the club playing as a goalkeeper  ??? ??? ???, a far cry from his preferred and arguably specialized position of midfield. He spent just under three years with Hednesford, making around 40 appearances before at the end of the 2000-01 season when they were relegated. He signed briefly for Hereford United making only two appearances in a defensive role, before moving on to join Northwich Victoria early in the season.

He played more than 60 matches there, before playing arguably the best football of his career with Shrewsbury Town, whom he joined in July 2003. He was part of the team that won promotion from the Conference back to the Football League in the 2003/04 season. After making 70 appearances for the Shropshire club, Jake was released in the summer of 2005. Despite interest from a number of clubs including his current employers, Kidderminster, he opted to join Bury FC, where he spent a rather unsuccessful six months.

On the flipside, during that time Sedgemore was loaned out to Football Conference club Burton Albion, and whilst there he played a full part in both of the club’s memorable FA Cup matches against Manchester United in January 2006.

After sealing his release from Bury FC later that month, Sedgemore opted against a one-year contract with Burton Albion in favour of a two-year deal with Kidderminster Harriers.

He made his debut for them in early February 2006 against Halifax Town, but failed to sustain a regular first team place and left at the end of the 2006/07 season.

Jake’s brother, Ben Sedgemore, plays football for Canvey Island, currently in the same division. Despite both the pair being professional footballers for a number of years, injuries and suspensions have always prevented the two from playing against one another

I don't recall many Alty players with the Christian name of Jacob.....!

If i recall is there not another sedgmore in the league who is pretty good, or is this him?

If he is better than Bushell then great news.

sounds like a good signing but possibly not  a creative midfielder that i think we really need -lets hope one arrives.

I personally dont think we need a creative midfielder.

We need someone to sit in the middle and breakdown the middle, all to often last year teams walked through us.

There is certainly a place for a creative midfielder though and I agree with you we do need one. Perhaps Robbie can do this roll if we are looking at right winger (dave perhaps?).

Coburn

Peyton
Munroe
Tinson
Lane

Lawton
Creative Midfielder
Sedgemore
Left Winger

O'Neill
Little

In my book we are two players short yet for the first team.

Sedgemore coems with plenty of experience which is great.

I too think we need an anchor like midfield man, so he could be fabulous.

If he livces in Wolverhampton it's a bit of a trek but if he's happy with that then that's great for us!

J ake Sedgemnore is a good all round player who never got enough opportunities at harriers because he is what used to be;called a utillity player but given he can establish himself in the team  in one set role he will be a good player for Alty and a good signing by GrahamD
