5 subs
« on: November 28, 2020, 10:16:29 PM »

Does anyone think, with the fixture backlog for most teams, that we need 5 subs in the national league?

Would this disadvantage us as we have played most games? Or is it even feasible with so many teams having played different amounts of games?

Have we got a big enough squad until the injuries clear up?

I think we'd suffer because our bench isnt as deep as some in this league, keep it as it is

We'd definitely suffer - we shouldn't have to be relying on players like Miller for example, who isn't ready for this level yet my opinion.

Multiple substitutions are just another way for the wealthier clubs to gain an advantage, whether in the Premier or National

Yup.

Why stop at five? How about eight? Eleven?

Two is enough, plus a concussion swap.

Sounds like an opportunity to be the first in Europe to have nine subs!

Dunno, but Peter Conning would be one...

In the Neil Young/Jim Harvey days, 15 subs might have helped. Mind you, they were all pants back then.
