The fifa badge is a major achievement to be fair, only 2 woman in England and 7 men in the UK.

We used to have a lady who ran the line. I hope she has progessed her career.

I've got over a dozen different Alty badges, isn't that just as good?

It was purely for information.

As mentioned elsewhere the possession of a FIFA badge is actually a significant achievement.

We have had a number of female assistants (and a couple of female referees) in the past. A number have progressed their careers.

Refereeing in NL National is only one step from the Football League middle.

All the above is also purely for information and some of you may consider it irrelevant

We were unlucky today and a draw would have been fair. I think that our full backs had an off day and Senior really struggled up against the brilliant Williams. Until we brought our substitutions on we didn't look a threat up top.

The ref, irrespective of gender, was out of her depth.

Not at all.

I often post on a variety of fora about Referees, Women's Football and situations where the two coincide.

I think you are possibly being a smidgen over suspicious about my motivation

I am currently involved in a discussion on another forum about Rob Jones who had issues at the recent Leeds v Burnley fixture.
A number of people seem to opine that he ought not to be given any more SG1 appointments as they consider him out of his depth.

Whilst respecting your opinion how,  without more experience and more difficult appointments to challenge them further,  can officials be expected to improve or develop thereby, to expand on the swimming analogy, helping them to swim more successfully?

to be fair I thought she ran the game pretty well today.  The penalty shout was definitely ball to arm - but was travelling like a rocket -  and many refs wouldn't have given it for the same reasons, though I thought it should have been at least an indirect free kick as it broke the move up.

You could see that the Fax players - who were cheating cry babies and sneaky bastards - were trying to crowd her and intimidate her a couple of times and it was pretty nasty to watch - but she stood her ground well and handled a couple of tricky moments very professionally and with a lot of character.  She has my vote

I think the ref did OK. She got plenty of plaudits from the Shaymen and I notice they thought we were appealing for everything. Just a case of one eyed fans I think.

Some interesting comments about Kosylo's behaviour at half time. Sounds like he was subbed to avoid a sending off in the second half.

I thought she was okay. She was probably a bit too the letter; we got a lot of freekicks our way against defenders/Moult which others would have let slide; the penalty against Tom and our penalty appeal I felt you have to give both.
