Alty mascot in the pre WW2 days. Apparently buried somewhere near the corner of the golf road and pop side.

Hope they don't dig him up when they lay the new pitch!
(if they haven't already!)

Poor old Jeb will be well rotted down by now.

Does anybody have photos of Jeb, preferably when s/he was alive?

Ta.

How old do you think I am? 😂🤣😂🤣

Or the legendary Jackie Swindells.

My grandad would pretend his fingers were Swindells and showed me how he played and scored on his dining table.

Use to tell me he liked scoring 5 a game haha.

229 games 195 goals.

I have always thought Jackie was the ultimate goal poacher. I remember once an opposition fan (in the good old days when there was a lot of friendly unaggressive banter at games) saying that he did nothing in games except for popping up two or three times a game to score.
He seemed to think that was a bad thing.
Wasn't Jimmy greaves talked of in a similar manner?

I can almost hear that away fan giving JS adverse criticism convinced he was talking sense. 😂 😂 😂
